Drashti gets a "Pretty Admirer" on Jhalak!

Who says two actresses can’t be friends? Drashti Dhami and Sanaya Irani, two of television’s hottest and most popular actresses, recently proved that actresses, atleast those on television, can cheer each other on and want each other to succeed.
In the coming ‘Item’ week of Jhalak, Sanaya Irani will grace the Jhalak sets to check out the action on the sets and cheer on her friend Drashti. Though there are other TV stars like Sidharth Shukla, Karanvir Bohra and Sana Saeed (she has worked in 2 shows on TV), Sanaya will be seen singling out Drashti and cheering her on.

Sanaya Irani will witness Drashti’s ‘item’ performance on the song ‘Tumse Mili Nazar’, and along with the judges, she’ll definitely be impressed by Drashti’s killer moves. With all the dancing going on around her, we can imagine how difficult for Sanaya to resist shaking a leg, and so the Jhalak stage will see the two reigning divas of television shake a leg together.
This is not the first time that Sanaya has come to the Jhalak stage. Remember the Grand Premiere night of Jhalak when Sanaya danced with Manish on ‘Tumse Milke Dil Ka Hai Jo Haal’, and then broke his heart by announcing that Kapil was his co-anchor, and not her? Looks like she really enjoyed her experience the last time around, and this was what brought her back to the Jhalak stage, this time in Drashti’s support.
After Vivian DSena and his real life Madhubala Vahbbiz Dorabjee, now it’s time for Drashti to get more support from telly land, this time in the form of Sanaya. So even thought it would be great to see Sanaya support Drashti, the other contestants better watch out!

Farhan got his share of publicity: Sanaya Irani

The cute and bubbly Sanaya Irani of 'Chhanchan' seems to be refuting to talk about her ex co-star Farhan Khan who slammed the actress when he left TV show 'Chhanchan'. The actress feels that Farhan has already got his share of attention and does not wish to give him more publicity.
"Honestly, I don't want to say anything about him. He said what he wanted to and he got his publicity. I don't intend to give him any sort of publicity. Farhan doesn't hold any value in my life and I only value people who are important to me," says Sanaya
Farhan's exit from the series was reported due to the lack of right chemistry between him and Sanaya, and declining TRP points.
Anuj Sachdeva has replaced him and Sanaya, earlier seen in romantic drama "Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon", is enjoying the camaraderie with her new co-star.
"It's very good working with him and I am enjoying the work. It's fun shooting with him. I feel that when you are shooting with someone with whom you get along well shows on screen," she said.
Thus to add to this, the icing on the cake is the positive feedback.
"I am happy right now. We are getting a very positive feedback post the Indian Premier League (IPL) and post Anuj coming to the show. I am happy for what I am doing and I am happy with what people have to say," said Sanaya.

Sanaya Irani irritates Anuj

Anuj Sachdeva, who plays the lead in the show Chhanchhan opposite Sanaya Irani, has a grudge against his co-star. The actor feels that she talks a lot about her ex leading man Barun Sobti from Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (IPKKND) very often which irritates him. “You always tend to talk
about your previous experiences. And IPKKND was very successful, so Sanaya would definitely compare (the two). Her experience from her previous show has helped her. So when she brings up her previous show again and again, I tell her, ‘Stop it, I am working with you here too. Talk about me,’” laughs Anuj.

Anuj enjoys a comfort level with Sanaya which reflects on screen too. “We are good friends and that reflects on-screen too. Sanaya’s cool and chilled about everything. I used to think I am the only one who doesn’t think before talking, but she’s like that too,” he says.
The actor hopes that the audience enjoy their pairing as well. “I understand it’s difficult to accept a new pair. But more than her talking about our chemistry on-screen, I want the audiences to talk about it. When they do, it won’t matter that they liked her with Barun a while ago,” he says.
Barun and Sanaya’s popularity during their show IPKKND was immense. The couple’s chemistry was loved by the audience, who later didn’t want him to be replaced with any other actor when he quit the show. In fact, there has been immense pressure on Chhanchhan’s team to recreate the magic of Barun-Sanaya’s chemistry.

Newcomer Farhan Khan, who was cast opposite Sanaya, was unable to click with the audience which is why he was replaced with Anuj. The show has got stable since then, but Anuj also credits the storyline for the same. “It takes time to get viewers back. Now they like the post marriage story between Manav, Chhanchhan and Manav’s mom.”

Gurmeet, Sanaya, Jay-Mahhi, Rithvik, Bharti, Karan Wahi - TV's big names come together for Colors' "Jashn-E-Eid"

Downpour in Dramas?

Daily soaps are increasingly using rain to highlight pivotal moments in the storyline

Bollywood has used the rain to great effect to convey a variety of situations. For some time now, though, the film industry has been experiencing a 'dry' spell with TV soaps now drenched in downpours, highlighting the show's high points.

Director Ravindra Gautam, who has used the monsoons in almost every show of his, says, "At times, when we feel sustaining audiences' interest could be lacking, our simple mantra is 'Barsaat karwa lenge'," he laughs, adding that serials are shot just a day before its telecast date and the team may not always have creative inputs.

Adds director Arvind Babbar, "We have to show artistes in different moods, so obviously, rains play an important role. Moreover, when you connect the actor's feeling with nature, it takes the scene to another level." Arvind has shot rain sequences in Kesar, Mera Naam Karegi Roshan and Mitwa Phool Kamal Ke in the past.
"Be it an actor's introduction scene, a consummation scene or any other high point, rain adds value," says director Anil Kumar, adding, "We created rain in the marketplace in Kahiin To Hogato show romance between Sujal and Kashish. The episode was a huge hit. Such visuals support drama."

Further, the director used rain in his show Kasamh Se when the three sisters come to Mumbai from a small village and have no place to stay. Rains denoted both anxiety and fear. Then, inKkavyanjali, about 80 tankers were used to create faux floods to depict the 2005 Mumbai deluge, with the main lead caught in the midst of it all."

"Special effects add value and freshness to the scene. A romantic scene wouldn't make an impact if shot in sunny weather," says actor Gautam Rode, the male lead of Saraswatichandra. When Rode's character professes love to Kumud there are heavy rains shown in the background. Again, when Kumud goes hunting for a doctor for her ailing father on a cycle late in the night, heavy downpour was used to bring in more drama.

However, many actors, who find the end result captivating, don't quite enjoy shooting in rains. "It is tough. I have done many rain sequences in the night. I would feel cold and shiver. There could be even 20 takes. You can't open your eyes with all that water being poured down. But yes, it adds beauty and brings in that romantic feeling. I suppose rain is the best option," says Sanaya Irani, the female lead of Chhanchhan. She recently celebrated a 'mini honeymoon' on the terrace with screen hubby Anuj Sachdeva. A rainy backdrop provided the right romantic setting.

Adds Anuj, "It is quite ironical that we had to wait for the actual rain to stop and start our own 'rain' because we couldn't operate our lights. Also, it leaves our hair and clothes in a mess."

It was frustrating to play a character role: Karan Goddwani

From audio engineering to acting — Karan Goddwani's life took a U-turn and got him to Tellytown from Spain. He might have started off his telly stint as the male lead in 'Jugni Chali Jalandhar', but Karan became a household name only after he played the loveable NRI NK in 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon'? From being the main protagonist to a character actor was not a shift that most actors would like, but Karan claims he enjoyed doing IPKKND a lot and the length of his role didn't really matter.

Now, Karan's playing a central figure in the upcoming laugh riot, Mrs Pammi Pyarelal. In town for a promotional trip, Karan mouthed the same line that most visiting celebs seem to have well-rehearsed when he said he was looking forward to "indulging in the Gujarati thali. We do get it in Mumbai, but it's important to try it in Ahmedabad considering it's the local cuisine."

About his upcoming show, Karan seems upbeat, "I am thrilled to work with Gaurav Gera. Even though he's been around for so long, he is so much fun to be with. And there's a lot to learn from him." Karan has done three comic roles back to back, isn't he scared of being stereotyped? "I want to give a natural touch to every role I do. If can handle comedy and audiences enjoy it, I'll continue doing that. But I am also looking forward to doing some serious and even romantic ones. I want to be a versatile actor."

Was Karan upset when he didn't bag a lead role post Jugni..? He says, "It was tough for me, because I had no godfather or contacts in showbiz. I made it on my own. I was frustrated when I didn't get a lead role post Jugni.... But my positive approach kept me going. It's very important to be visible when you are a TV actor. My family has been my biggest support system. I have also been associated with good people at work. I've been reading motivational books, and they were of great help during my low phase."

Karan claims that he was always inclined to become an actor. "I was actively involved in drama and dancing right from my school days. I joined a dance troupe in Mumbai and post that I landed a TV show."

On a parting note we asked him if he's single, and Karan coyly shared, "I'm committed. She is not from the entertainment industry. We've been together for sometime now, but I don't wish to give more details. Sometimes we get misquoted and I don't want any turbulence or misunderstandings between me and my girl."

Srman Jain calls it quits in Chhanchhan?

Srman Jain a.k.a Rugved Sarabhai who is seen in Chhanchhan on Sony Tv is part of Chanchhan's (Sanaya Irani) family now that Chhanchhan and Manav (Anuj Sachdeva) have got married has taken a sudden decision to quit the show.
Since Srman has limited role to play in Chhanchhan now, and also the fact that he has been roped in to play a pivotal role in Aadaalt on the same channel as well as in the upcoming Saas Bina Sasural season 2 has been the deciding factors for this decision.
Our source informs us that, "Srman will be seen in Adaalat soon along with Prena Wanvari who was last seen in Parichay on Colors. Prena Wanwari and Srman Jain will be brought in the Adalaat camp only after KD Pathak (Ronit Bose Roy) will see them investigating a nearby murder. This will give KD Pathak an insight that these two young guns can prove to be a boon and will also help resolving the case."
The source further went on to say, "Srman who is also seen in Chhanchhan will quit the show as he doesn't have much to do in the show."
When contacted Srman Jain he said, "I have no clue about the track of Chhanchhan but guess I have dates left with me, so after doing Saas Bina Sasural and Aadlaat if I get time I shall continue with Chhanchhan as I can't say no to Optimystix."

Chef Vikas Khanna Shake His Leg At Star Parivaar Awards.

Chef Vikas Khanna has often found himself amidst accolades especially by women who are smitten by his charm. On one hand as Vikas gears up for a brand new season of Junior Masterchef, on the other hand, he is getting ready for his dancing debut on the small screen.
Yes. Vikas Khanna is going to performing in this year’s star studded Star Parivaar Awards. Apparently, he didn’t get a lot of time to practice either but has been spotted with Naksh (Yeh Rishta Kya Kahlata Hai) who has helped him practice and remember steps.
A self proclaimed non dancer, Vikas says “I did a small performance in the opening act. It was very exciting and I have had a great time doing it. I hope all the viewers enjoy my performance.” The very humble Vikas has already asked for forgiveness from his fans. “I have two left feet. If my fans don’t like my dance, I am already sorry.” He is visibly excited about his performance and so is his entire family “My whole family is looking forward to watch it on TV.”

Farhan Khan is like a brother to me : Vividha Kirti

Vividha Kirti who essays the role of Mansi that is Manav's (Anuj Sachdeva) sister inSony TV's Chhanchaan is new to the television industry yet has made a mark in the show with her beauty and her spontaneous acting. This beautiful female was seen in the movie Vicky Donor as well as in Afsar Bitiya
Talking about her role in the serial, Vividha says, "I am so happy with my role and character in the show. I am the youngest candidate in the show and also enjoying my stint with the actors. I must say Sanaya Irani is the best one to work with... she is simple, sweet, caring and very friendly. I feel all the news against Sanaya being a tantrum queen and not a friendly girl is just a rumor as she is a fabulous person."
She further went on talking about her relationship with the other co-stars, "They are all good. I am not a very extrovert person and I keep things to myself. We have our set of breaks, and I am more of a shy person, so I usually try to listen everyone. For me Farhan Khan was also my brother as in the show we were shown as brother and sister and we used to feel the same in real life as well."
Talking about personal relationships she says, "I was in a relationship few years back but things didn't work out well between us so as of now I am simply focusing on my career. I am too busy to date anyone. I am just working hard and want to make a career for myself before giving time to any relationship."

Case Solved: Well the blame game ends with Farhan at fault!

Well this topic has been dragged by media and is well known which is about Farhan's allegations and this topic has been cooked as a platter to the audience for which our reporters took the detective cap rather than the gossip cap.
The story started with our article which is about Farhan's family giving statements about Optymystix fault and Farhan is in depression and is in no mood to talk to any media but then later, the same week Farhan gave a statement to Times Of India that the report is false that he is not in depression and he is rather happy quitting Chhanchhan but the fact doesn't change as Farhan's family gave a statement to Newsroom which he mocked off but we didn't drag the issue till we saw the gossip getting hotter with Sanaya Irani being dragged in the issue which created ripples in the industry the full caste of Chhanchhan being dragged in the issue.

Farhan blamed Sanaya Irani of ignoring him but was this true or false? No,its not true as everyone knows why Farhan was removed or he called it quit was due to his lackluster acting performance and we got news that Sanaya used to help Farhan overcome his difficulties in acting but he used to not pay attention to Sanaya and just ignore her which resulted in Sanaya feeling bad as she is a popular actress. So after that Farhan's statement comes into effect of Sanaya ignoring him and he started acting weird on the sets and starting making some lame jokes to woo Sanaya but once a thorn pricks but the hurt remains the same applied with Sanaya. Well it wasn't only his ignorance to Sanaya but the whole cast was irritated with the amount of retakes and delay of shoots which resulted in no cast member being friendly with him.
Even in a interview about Farhan telling that I am ready to romance Sanaya wasn't well accepted by Sanaya since none of her co stars have talked so publicly about romancing her.
Well if this wasn't enough a source from sets of Chhanchhan says "Farhan was too confident and had pride which was not liked by cast and specially Sanaya felt to ignore him rather than giving him attention".
Well we don't mean to hurt any fan as this information was made possible by the cast member and our reporter Niharika who has being keeping a eye on the case.
So this case is closed for Newsroom'..
