Team SaRun's visit to Raizada mansion

~*~ The RaizadaMansion ~*~

As TeamSarun planned its visit to meet the IPKKND cast, a trip to the Raizada Mansion wasn't on our itinerary but as we reached India, we couldn't stop ourselves from paying a visit to our beloved RM/Shantivan. After all it wasn't home just for the Raizadas, it was our home too for almost 1.5 years & that's how Shantivan became the first place TeamSarun

visited.

As soon as we entered the driveway to RM, we felt as though we were entering a deluge of 1.5 years of memories. How could we not think of the innumerous off-screen moments of Sarun & IPKKND cast that were captured there... we almost saw the white SUV of our ASR parked in its spot as always.. we stopped ourselves and came out of our wild imagination and continued with our exploration.

We reached the main door of RM & as we entered all we could think of was the first time Khushi entered Shantivan, the times when Arnav carried Khushi over the threshold after their marriage & remarriage, all those times when Khushi used to peep at the door to see if ASR was coming in. It felt as though we were about to enter a place of tremendous historic importance, coz Shantivan is a standing monumental symbol of our love for Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.

Soon we were moving inside RM, room to room and each place held an aura of nostalgia in it. The places looked so familiar; it was like walking through our own home where we had a lot of good memories... many of them bittersweet just like the star-crossed love story of Arnav-Khushi.

We met a few people who have had worked on the IPK sets and all of them had the same thing to tell us that, this was the best cast ever with whom they have worked and that, Barun and Sanaya were amazing human beings. We couldn't stop ourselves from smiling. To hear such amazing things about the people you love and admire brings with it a sense of pride and that's exactly what we felt.

Moving on, we soon found ourselves in a place that stands as the most beautiful place in all of RM,our all-time favourite place, THE POOLSIDE & ARHI'S BEDROOM!!

So many memories yet we couldn't ignore the pain of missing IPKKND, ArHi's bedroom, their wardrobes, mirror everything was still there... yet so empty; the same room where we have
witnessed a lot of romantic moments.

Here is a fun fact for all of you about this bedroom. The door that supposedly opens to the bathroom in their room, well, we couldn't resist peeping in. One of us walked over & turned the door knob, the rest of us felt our hearts going dhak dhak, maybe rabba vey was playing in the background too but as soon as she opened it and we saw her expression, rabba vey turned to ArHi's music during their comic scenarios. She burst out laughing and we all rushed over to see what was so hilarious. LO and BEHOLD, there was never a bathroom there! It was just an exit door from the room! (but I guess most of us already                           knew that since Arnav was shown entering from that door in one of the initial epis ).

Don't know how to convey our feelings through words, no amount of words can do justice to what we felt while we looked all around the place, so many memories, not knowing what to feel or think or recollect.

The pool was there but there was no water...

ASR's garden had been removed, no fairy lights...

the balcony over the poolside from where Mamiji often used to spy on our ArHi..

the stairs from where we have often seen Arnav & Khushi walking down...

the corner where the almost kiss during Diwali happened...

the spot where Khushi threw hot tea on Arnav... Arhi's Karvachauth...

The entire house had been stripped, yet we could still feel each and every scene that had been filmed there.

The kitchen where we got the sensuous Aloo-Pakhode scene...

all the times when Khushi fell into Arnav's arms...

the place where ASR made jalebis for his Khushi...

We were told by the people on the sets that the kitchen was also used to keep the sound systems used by the crew.

On a lighter note a secret about RM that was shared with us by Akshay, initially there was a Buddha statue in RM. Due to religion sensitivity associated with it, the crew decided to make it appear like a piece of art so that they could cover it up as well as prevent it from getting destroyed.

Another fact not to be missed, you must all be wondering what happened to our Gupta House, [that gifted Arnav & Khushi a lot of privacy, that was denied to them in Shantivan,] well GH got dismantled soon after the remarriage track, sad we know... but that's another true fact for all of you.

Each and every nook and corner of the house had so many stories to tell, so many jokes to share. We were caught in their web of enchanting memories of IPKKND & their off-screen moments.

None of us wanted to leave, we wanted to stay on, we couldn't stop wishing that all this is a bad dream and when we wake up, we will still have our IPKKND back with us every day @ 8pm.

The people there told us that the sets were going to be dismantled within 3 days so we can say we were really lucky. It was like Shantivan was waiting for us to come and bid it a final adieu on behalf of the entire IPKKND fandom and we are glad we made the trip or else we wouldn't have been able to convey our final farewells to the Raizada Mansion that became our personal heaven.

Yes, I’m doing Mitali Ghoshal’s film : Barun Sobti.

Q. You quit Iss Pyaar ko kya Naam Doon because you were working in a film Mein aur Mr right so what is the film is all about?
Barun: The film is from a girl’s perspective in terms how she dreams of having a perfect partner in her life and how it is difficult to realize one’s dream of finding an ideal partner. No one really gets  a perfect partner but that’s what the film is about.
Q.2 What is your role in the film? Who are your co stars in it?
Barun: I’m playing the role of a guy named Sukhi who wanted to be a model and so he shifts from Jalandhar in Punjab to Mumbai, there are many new actors in this film , I’m playing opposite  Shahnaz
Q. How is your equation with your co stars on the sets? particularly with Shahnaz?
Barun: She is actually good… chillled out girl and there were no problems while shooting it was good working with her!
Q. How was the experience of working for a movie? How is it different from a daily soap on tv?
Barun: There is no difference as such I would say, if there is any difference then it is only for the producers, directors but for actors its all about same you know.
Q. Your fans were heartbroken when they realized that they won’t get to see you now on tv, will they see the same magic and chemistry in your up-coming film what more do you have for them now?
Barun: Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon had a very different set of audience and now this film in particular will have entirely different audience I would say. The film is a romantic comedy so let’s see if the audience will like it or not, its not a high voltage drama.
Q So was it difficult to play a comic role especially soon after playing a very strong dramatic role?
Barun: No it is not entirely a comic character but yes, with this film I got to know what psychology is required to play a comic role. For a role that I had played earlier in the serial, doing the same thing everyday helps you understand the demands of the role in this case it was that of a businessman.

Q. Which are the outdoor locations you’ve shot so far? Any particular sequence you liked while shooting?
Barun: Yes, actually the film was shot lot more outdoor, specially in different parts of Mumbai, we even went to Nashik for shooting, but no there were no abroad shoot.
Q.When is the movie hitting the screen?
Barun: We are hoping for it to release in May.
Q. Any other projects you are working on? buzz is that you’ve signed a film with Mitali Ghosal is it true?
Barun: Yes, I’m doing Mitali Ghoshal’s film, I’ve shot for my film Mei Aur Mr Right along with my serial and it was very difficult to carry two projects at a time so I decided to do one thing at a time. Soon I will start my work with Mitali Ghoshal, the movie is tentatively named  as 22 yards a cricket pitch and I will be playing the lead role in this film.

Q. What are your future plans? Will you continue to work only in movies or will you come back on the small screen again?
Barun: I don’t know yaar ! too many people have been asking me the same thing but I really don’t know… I haven’t yet planned anything  and I guess God only will guide me in future.

Q. What is your message for your online fans for the new year 2013?
Barun: I would say thank you for appreciating me, loving me and again following me thank you all for your true love!

The dictionary definition of dialogue is a conversation between two or more people. In a show or movie, it is much more. It offers an insight into who characters are, what their personality is, the plot, emotions, ideas, and the way things may unfold.

The first dialogue that I remember with IPK was an innocuous one, but it made me realize that we were probably in for a treat from the dialogue writers Ritesh Shah and Hitesh Kewalya.

Arnav reclining on his recliner (gosh I miss a view of that) - Anjali comes in asks why he looks angry. Arnav replies "shakal hi aisi hai"

It absolutely cracked me up and made me take a bit more notice of what was being said.

Among my favorites are Khushi's when she hands in her resignation

"haan, hum teekh hai. Aapke vajah se nahi, aapke bavajood" - it showed the strength of her character, belief and never say die spirit.

Another favorite is Arnav's "hi" during the mehendi episode... it still makes me go weak at the knees and absolutely funny ones like Khushi's - "Khushi Kumaaari Guptaaa" LOL

So, lets have a dialogue about dialogues... what your favorites are, what they meant in the scene and why you like them so much.

Madhura goes scuba diving

The actress is a certified scuba diver and enjoys it to the fullest...

Madhura Naik who was last seen in Star PlusIss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? does not limit her skills to just acting, singing or dancing, but there is something not many people know about the actress. Madhura is a certified scuba diver and she went to Koh Tao, Thailand this year and joined her diving group at Ban's Diving School.
When we asked Madhura about her travel escapades, she said, "Earlier when I was shooting in Bombay I always wanted to be a scuba diver, and during my breaks I started to do a little research about the same. It wasn't long before I logged onto a website and book my tickets for the next night to Bangkok. I've always been a globetrotter, and its very difficult to keep up with my spontaneous plans".
She further added, "As I reached Koh Tao I hired my favorite mode of holiday transport : a Quad bike and drove around the island. It was a tiring night journey and then a boat journey to get to his paradise and then finally I found a perfect spot to stay by the Shark Bay at 3pm. The very first thing I did was, got myself some food and a snorkeling gear. I snorkeled all afternoon till the sunset, spotted some beautiful blacktip reef sharks which swim so very close to u, tanned myself till my skin was almost peeling and by night landed up at a beach lounge called the "Fishbowl" and that's where the real journey started! "
If that one time wasn't enough Madhura decided to join dive schools about which she says, "I enrolled myself at Bans after doing a days research of other options available for dive schools and since Ban's was world renowned and PADI certified which is the first thing anybody should look for, voila! My dive group had people that had traveled all the way from Germany, Australia, UK,  Canada and it was great diving and schooling with them while getting to know the diversities of their cultures".
We covered a lot of diving spots my favorite being : Twin peaks and White rock. Since I did the advanced 30m underwater course, it was a different experience altogether. We spotted the whale shark, barracuda, Angel Fish, Clown Fish, we found Nemo, Sting Ray, Trigger fish which after I chased to get a photo of found out that they are the most aggressive fish in Koh Tao and can easily take a chunk of your leg. We also got to see an adult Harlequin Sweet Lips (v rare), Puffer fish, Cushion Star fish, Big Crab, Blue/Yellow Angel fish which again are quite rare amongst many more", she concludes
